Terminology

Meghna Cloud uses some terminology which is important for you to know. We recommend you to read and understand these terms. This will help you to better understand our services

Administrator

Also referred to as a Meghna Cloud account administrator. The administrator, typically Information Technology (IT) personnel, is an individual who oversees a Meghna Cloud account. Administrators have a higher level of permissions to the Meghna Cloud account than other members of their organization. Administrators establish and implement settings for the Meghna Cloud account. They also create new users. The administrator provides these users with their access credentials and a sign-in URL to sign in to Meghna Cloud.

Account

An organizational or standard Meghna Cloud account contains both your cloud resources and identities that can access those resources. Accounts aee associated with the account owner's organizational email address and password.

Credentials

Also referred to as access credentials or security credentials. Credentials are the information that users provide to Meghna Cloud to sign in and gain access to Meghna Cloud resources. Credentials can include an email address, a username, a user-defined password, an Organization ID, a verification code, and a single-use multifactor authentication (MFA) code. In authentication and authorization, a system uses credentials to determine who is making a request and whether to grant the desired access. Such as an API token is the credential needed to perform API requests.

Profile

When you sign up for an account in Meghna Cloud you create a profile. Your profile includes the contact information you provided and the ability to manage multifactor authentication (MFA) devices and active sessions.

User

A user is a person or application under an account that makes API calls to Meghna Cloud services. Each user has a unique email address within the Meghna CLoud.

Root user credentials

The root user credentials are the same credentials used to sign in to the Meghna Cloud as the root user.

Verification code

A verification code verifies your identity during the sign-up process or during sign-in process using multi-factor authentication (MFA). The delivery methods for verification codes vary. They can be sent via text message or email. Check with your administrator for more information.
